I no longer want to live my life trying to flee my humanity in striving to be saved from it. I want to learn how to become more human. I'm done fighting the messiness of being human, with all the contradictions and shadows as something to be resisted and eradicated, and am seeking instead to accept it and work with its energy as part of the counterstroke that fuels creation. What if we could live as human beings that understood we are deeply and inextricably intertwined with all reality? What if we could live a creative life conscious that our choices have ripple effects in this world that can act to advance this world or destroy it? What if we could live from the wholeness that understand there is no such thing as "I", only "we"...and we have a critical part to play in this great story of evolution? One of my favorite mystics, Teilhard de Chardin, calls this
...becoming ultra human.
